The first time I came across Michael Whiteman, who is the creative powerhouse behind this band, he was playing with a ska band. Having heard it's taken him 10 years to get this album made, perhaps playing ska was an antidote to the complexities of putting this album together. If you are a lover of prog rock, then you should immediately check out this 2015 release. One of the longest songs is "Circles (Show Love)" which clocks in at 16 minutes and the album closes with the barnstorming 22 minute "Derelict" and these longer tracks give the band the chance to stretch out and demonstrate their chops. Lyrically as the title hints, these songs are about trying to find beauty in even the mundane things. Musically like on any good prog record, the band can build up themes particularly on the longer pieces. Quite a few things remind me particularly of Yes, Genesis and Neil Morse. Although the lyrics are not directly "Christian" the whole creativity expressed on 'Everything Beautiful In Time' honours God in a hugely skillful way.
