Dan Pecchia, one of the band members of Identity, told an Ohio newspaper that their sound was “a meeting of Jaci Velasquez and Deep Purple.” Fascinating… if only it were true. What you get here is an outstanding vocalist, Sara Pecchia, with a gutsy, bluesy vocal style who amazingly was only 15 when she made this, singing six okay-but-not-great songs with a band featuring ‘70s-styled rock rhythms. Identity clearly need a more focused identity.
