Hardly an issue of Cross Rhythms goes by when we don't report something like "there's a bit of a buzz currently in the US about this band." Such is the huge expansion of the American CCM scene that there are today hundreds of pop and rock bands vying to be the Next Big Thing in the US. But, despite all the opposition, I have to say these three lads really could break through big. They have such an engaging blend of pop sounds; such a winning way with radio friendly hooks and they look like a boy band (not a bad thing in image-conscious Nashville) that this arresting debut could hit big. The track that really caught my ear was the lilting "More" which so reminded me of Brent Bourgeois' "One" classic of some year's back that I reached to see whether the studio maestro produced it. (He didn't, Eldon Winter and Stephen J Rendall do the honours here - and their deft studio craft is exemplary.) Maybe the dance-tinged "The One" is more to your tastes. Or maybe you'll like the snappy "The Right Time". But wherever you look you'll find engaging sanctified pop deftly targeted at teenage tastes.

I'm trying to find this CD - it appears to be well nigh unavailable. Does anyone mind sending it to me

Thank you so much - I'd really appreciate it. I loved some of these songs back in the day..

I have this cd and I love it. It's hard to find anything Jake-related on the web though. They need to get a site up, and if they have one I'd sure like to know where it is.
