A nice sub-bass groove here, and this single by the St Louis-based rapper hits home as it chronicles his early life, how he wrestled with anxiety, addiction and fear, and how he found the answer in God. His flows are powerful ("No blue with the Jew dude so I shoot from the hip/Wounded pretty early so I walk with a limp/Poker-face dude with the cards I was dealt/Didn't want to sound soft so I fabricated how I felt"). With a haunting sung hook, this is a track which deserves wide exposure. xRhythms has started the ball rolling.
