Jeremy is the worship leader at Christ The Rock Church in Memphis. This recording recorded live at the church follows his album 'Atmosphere' in showcasing songs with above average deeper lyrics helping it stand out in the crowd of live worship albums currently available. An illustration of this is track three "Upon The Mountain" where we are encouraged to "Step away from the cares of this world/Oh how they easily entangle/We want to step away to a place of desire/A secret place where our loves mingle". Challenging words! Musically, Jeremy has absorbed many influences from inside and outside the Church; I detected a little U2 or Springsteen at times. The result is a polished, tight sounding album of first class rock/pop flavoured worship. Tracks like "Something In My Heart Jumps" will get the feet moving with its high octane electric guitar while engaging the heart with words that makes the it sing! A word needs to be said for the sheer quality feel of the recording itself, considering this is a live recording (with overdubs), there is a lot 'established' labels could learn from - just listen to "emptied" or "Fairest Of Ten Thousand"- they sound like Jeremy is singing alongside you! In the UK, Jeremy Horn is a new name... that is now likely to change.
