Bolton-based singer/songwriter John has spent over five years crafting these songs and joined up with Cornerhouse Productions - who produced his original four track EP - to continue the process and create this album. The result is 12 well written, arranged and produced songs in a pop rock style that do a very good job of exploring many aspects of the life and ministry of Jesus. The project opens with a couple of full bore rock numbers before calming down a bit with some piano and acoustic guitar lead tracks, in particular "The Name By Which I'm Saved", and the beautifully crafted building in "Spirit Fall". The arrangements are very good, with Dan Wheeler's deft guitar lines complementing the different feel of each song. The vocals come over a little weak at times but never enough to distract from the music or the power of the lyrics.
