The more I listen, the more I'm convinced that Julia Bradley is a significant new addition to Christian music ministry in Britain. Her voice has a wistful poignancy, her lyrics, built as they are on personal experiences, have the luminous quality of lived-out truth while here experienced producer Johnny Markin has worked in arrangements which bring out the full dynamics of Julia's music. Sometimes that music is a tad hard to focus on, her lyrics sometimes coming on like a total consciousness tirade with little attention to rhyme or scan. But that delicious, tremulous voice always draws you back. Search out this album if meditative singer/songwriters are for you.
