Looking at the track listings, titles like "Waiting For The Hammer To Fall" and "Let Your Love Flow" suggested a reworking of some secular hits. But all the songs are by Julie and it's the lyrics which are the album's strong point, showing as they do the writer's insight into the human spiritual condition and the nature of our relationship with God. "Unconditional Love" is a fine example of this, indeed, it might have been an alternative album title. Understandably, a private recording is going to have limited production facilities, but too often Julie is forced to compete with the overpowering beat from a drum machine, which has the effect of giving the album a mid '80s feel. Julie is heard to more advantage on side two where the songs are quieter and more harmonic and include the excellent "You Are The Answer".
