After co-writing a worship classic in "Everlasting God" and fronting one of Britain's most popular bands in Yfriday, there must have been considerable weight of expectation on the Geordie songsmith's shoulders. So Ken has wisely re-entered the fray rather quietly, with an independent EP. And very good it is too. "(We Are) All God's Children" is as infectiously engaging as any worship anthem I've heard this year with its hook reminding us of the eternal truth about God's fatherhood while the worshipful "In Adoration" with a billowing, piano-driven arrangement also hits the spot. Clearly Ken still has much to contribute to the worshipping Church and I for one believe he'll come up with another world-circulating classic before his time is through. Is there one on 'Wondrous Things'? I don't know.
