Surely the edginess of Evanescence tempered by the sweetness of Kelly Clarkson would create the perfect mix for a female vocalist in a guitar driven band? Well the search is over with the arrival of Nashville-based Lara's second release which is so good she named it twice. 'Love/Majestic' features five serious and weighty tracks that exude a confidence and maturity that is lacking in so many other artists of Landon's generation - but then how many other young people of her age are co-founders of an international charity? These songs are rocky, punchy and full of insights into a heart yearning to know more of God and are sung across an immense vocal range. Lyrics such as "I'm listening with my ear pressed to the sky" portray desperation and longing while the chord progressions are highly intelligent and fit the songs perfectly. This is serious music - seriously good music.
