Pop gospel, recorded in 1998, and a quick look at the lyric sheet reveals that this album contains material written by lesser-known songwriters; the only names I recognise, and those from the '80s, are Rodney Friend and Pam Mark Hall. Unfortunately, Leah's voice is rather flat and ordinary and despite the songs' generally up-front gospel message, they're rather flat and ordinary as well. I wasn't impressed by the presence of the quasi-spiritual song "The Wind Beneath My Wings"; despite it being reprised at the end of the album, with Christian lyrics and seascape sound effects, complete with seagulls and crashing waves and stuff, Leah's vocal deficiencies drag it down into the general ordinariness of the rest of the album. Not a rewarding listen.
