This is a delightful collection of 33 God-centred and Jesus songs (67 minutes of music time) designed for use in primary school assemblies. Each song appears twice to give the teacher choice of how to use the recording - firstly the expected choir version with accompaniment and then the accompaniment only for the children to sing along to once the song has been learned. The accompaniments are suitably light and bouncy (mainly piano-led) with interesting and varied rhythm parts and percussive sounds. The order of songs is designed to reflect the passing academic year starting at autumn and going through to summer. A small number of songs at the end of the recording are not season-specific and can be used as it is felt appropriate to do so (including as a pleasant surprise a version of Bob Dylan's "Blowin' In The Wind"). The accompanying handbook contains all the song lyrics. This will without doubt be a very useful resource for many schools.

We have used these CDs and they are excellent. If you haven't got a teacher to play the piano at every assembly, these are invaluable!
