LeAnn Rimes, Joss Stone and Charlotte Church all started out very young; could Lexie be another talented youngster who goes far? Just like them, 14 year old Lexie Stobie has a voice that belies her youth. This is a very simple album, and none the worse for that, featuring just Lexie's vocals and Bill Scriven's lyrics and acoustic guitar. The lyrics, which can occasionally be a little too complex, certainly give Lexie a chance to show off her vocal range. The sound is folk, with a bluesy touch, perhaps best seen on what for me is the standout track, "Let Them Accuse", which is one of the more upbeat of the songs, and certainly has a very strong message. There is enough variety in the album's 10 tracks to keep you listening. The title track has a Latin sound, while "Stone Cold" is in the style of a spiritual. If you are feeling reflective and in search of a sense of peace, then try "We Have Come To Greet You". This album springs from a need for new songs for a Christmas concert. Impressive.

Those of us who were priviledged to know Lexie from the start knew she was special, when I first looked into those deep brown eyes I felt her magic.
Her wonderful voice is, I am sure, her vehicle for a fantastic future and will allow her to give her message to the world. I wish her every happiness.

Lexie has a very distinctive voice - delicate and beautiful yet clear and strong. Combined with Bill's broad and deep guitar skills this is an excellent album, especially for Christians. My personal hope is that they will go on to target the non-Christian market with further songs with the same Jesus-centred messages but without religious terminology.

Well Alex, I promised that I'd give it a listen. It's getting a lot of play on my CD system and it's even kept U2 and Petra off it - no mean feat, believe me!
Everybody seems to like different songs on the album - that's great and I'm going to be no exception. Every album deserves a full-on, gutsy song that grabs the listener's attention right from the start and makes them want to keep listening. 'You Rescued Me' certainly did that - it's a song that's really grown on me. Looking forward to the next album - will be back at Christmas to get it!

I have recently had the privilege of listening to Alex sing accompanied by Bill on guitar - it really was a very uplifting experience. Her voice is truley amazing, very pure and for one so young her mature interpretation of the lyrics really brings the words to life.
I wish them both all the best for the future and am sure they will be a huge success

''I loved Lexie's CD!!! She has a lovely clear voice and I have learnt lots of the words to sing along to.I liked the way she shows how versatile her voice is. My FAVE song is Everyday. I REALLY look forward to her next CD. Good Luck! :-)

We love the cd. Bill and Lexie work so well together. The songs really draw you into God's presence with thanksgiving. Lexie's voice has the three P's for us - Powerful, Passionate and Pure! We look forward to what is yet to come.

The first time I listened to the tape I was amazed by the powerful voice of Lexie, with maturity this will become even better to listen to. I sent a tape to my mother who has played it to all her friends, they enjoyed the range of music. Hope there is another tape soon. My favourite is "We Have Come to Greet You".
