'Run' is 10 songs from Luke Finch, the worship pastor of Metro Church International in Sunderland, and as such all the songs come from a worshiping heart. There is plenty of variation though, from the rousing corporate worship of the opening track, "Battle Cry", to the beautifully reflective and intimate "In The Secret Place" that closes the album. The songwriting is good, if occasionally clichéd, and the production by Mark Williamson - hands up the oldies that remember the Mark Williamson Band - is excellent, as is the artwork. An accomplished album that will sound as good turned up loud in the car as it will in a quiet moment on the sofa, it manages to capture Luke's genuine desire for God's presence. And do keep the last track running to the end! If you're looking for quality worship material there are some good songs here.
