MIC's first DVD is very impressive. It contains videos for songs from two of their albums; 'Explode' and 'Re: Invented'. The visual affects are stunning; though occasionally they do over do it. The video for "Superstar" shows the band on tour and often the same image is shown in three different places and sizes on the screen, which makes it a stimulating viewing experience. "Freaks" also reflects the band's dynamism. The video jumps with the beat and the energetic dancing emphasises the vibrancy of the song. Yet this DVD does not just contain funky floor fillers, it also contains heart felt pop ballads. "Forgive Me" is one such powerful video. The lyrics by themselves are moving, yet the video is all the more potent for being set in a peaceful environment and for having the lyrics of the chorus rotate on the screen with the most effective moment being when the words "forgive me" scroll onto the screen, over and over again. Powerful stuff. The documentaries are both informative and humorous, as the band members reveal to the viewer the heart and vision of MIC's work. Also, the photo galleries are easy to navigate and set to remixes of MIC's songs. Overall this is an inventive look at the MIC ministry.
