This is Mainstreet's debut album after two demos and a lot of live performing. Mainstreet was started as a side project but soon became obvious to the Swedish six-piece outfit that this was where they wanted to be. The album is raw, yet with a well produced live feel to it. In their own words: "We wanted to be a band delivering honest music. should be represented on the recordings with the same energy [of] our live performances." Mission accomplished, I'd say. Let's hope, as they also said: "This record is not an exception." It has a blue-collar, AOR, country sound. Think Tom Petty meets Bruce Springstein for a jam and Mainstreet is born. The album is well produced, tight with great vocals and a live feel. I especially like "Blood In My Veins" and "Fireworks (In Your Eyes)".
