Queensland pastor Martin Frylink has combined his musical talent with the gospel message in this five track EP influenced by rock and blues. His nylon-string acoustic guitar playing is signposted from the start. "Chill Out" is a punchy, rocking encouragement to struggling believers. "Blank Page" challenges us to innovate and "write something new" in our walk of faith. "Why Should You Die?", with its country feel and guitar flourishes (referencing James Calvin Wilsey's solo on "Wicked Game") spells out the reality of life without Jesus. The EP concludes with "Bleed Into You", a prayer about dying but being made new in Christ. The dramatic change of tempo mid-track reflects the transformation that lies at the heart of the EP's message. This EP is lively and raw, with Martin's rasping voice (toned down when he quotes John 10:10 at the end of track three) supplemented by some well above average guitar work.
