One day when I've got a few bob I'm going to send a bag of British Christian kids albums to the execs at Word Inc, Brentwood Music etc and demand to know why Sammy Horner et al are so much more fun than the teeth-grinding schlock that the big US corporations provide us with. Take Mike Gisbey. With a delightful set of fun songs, some inspired production by Bruce Ponte and a band, helped particularly by some rootsy accordion from Phil Loose, who produce a joyful noise these are songs which convey spiritual truth, are a lot of fun for kids to listen to and yet don't make adults rush for the sick bag. Well done Mick
