This Swindon act (previously called 'Midnight Sun) have a role:- firstly to serve the church with music that brings healing, and secondly to be involved in outreach playing secular venues with less obviously Christian lyrics. This is reflected well by an equal diversion of the material. The tracks here suffer in places from having protracted introductions and endings and the use of a lower key signature for the vocals on some songs would have brought a more dynamic range. In a live atmosphere this music would come alive more and I can believe that many copy of the CD will be sold post-gig. All the lyrics were written by the female vocalist over a number of years, and with more band involvement in the whole songwritting process and more use of backing vocals the early promise of this release could be built on to develop the potential they clearly have.
