After an independent studio release and an appearance on the "One Voice" tsunami charity single last year, the Premier Radio DJ returns with an exciting set of live gospel praise. Recorded at The Lighthouse Centre in Liverpool in front of an appreciative audience, this is a very good blend of gospel and praise with Muyiwa rabble rousing with spoken interjections and exhortations whilst also taking most of the lead vocal duties. Riversongz sound great backing him with crisp vocal performances and the six piece band are tight throughout. Highlights include the driving "Glorious In Holiness" and "Imela" which draws on his Nigerian roots. I also like "All Power" with its gentle funkiness and the gentle flowing sound of "Once You Have Spoken". Stylistically, Muyiwa seems to have picked up from where Ron Kenoly left off in the '90s and this blend works well for him. My only slight reservation is whether many of the songs here are strong enough to cross over into the main church scene like Kenoly's did. But only time will tell and Muyiwa sounds like he's got plenty more songs to follow these. It's a fitting first album from new British gospel imprint One Voice.

Every part of his music is a testimony.

Muyiwa! A great minister of God. He's been my mentor since I got to know about him. And was glad when I met him live. More grace to your elbow sir!

A raw, great and inspiring talent. I ashamedly admit I always cringe and change channels when I hear Naija christian "singers". Muyiwa's voice is sheer bliss. He has a great stage presence - vibrant, fun and makes you wanna get up and dance. His voice is a cross between Bebe Winans and Andrae Crouch - and better. Well done Muyiwa.
Ps - My condolences and I am glad you saw your mum before she died too.
