One of the original and most popular American punk bands are currently in danger of being overshadowed by their hard music compatriots POD but with a move to A&M Records, hopes are high! So does this deliver? Yes, it does! Sounding ever so slightly more New Wave than old school punk (this isn't a bad thing since Christian music is littered with not very impressive punk bands!), MXPX have benefited from a bigger budget without seeing their sound soften. It's exciting to think that a band's eighth album can bristle and burst with passion and energy and this is what MXPX have managed! Not overly Christian lyrically, Mike Herrera's songs are up, positive, provoking and capture an underlying resonance that life is for living and MXPX are a band grabbing hold of opportunities and going for it! New Wavey punk is the order of the day here and it's all good!
