Well, here's an event that managed to escape a mention in CR74's illustrious Christian Festival Guide. A seven-day inter-denominational conference held at Coleraine University, Northern Ireland, the worship at this year's New Horizon was led by David Lyle Morris, assisted by NI's own Ian Hannah, who has also worked at the Summer Madness camp. Fairly standard UK contemporary worship ala Live Spring Harvest, chosen material includes two Hannah arrangements and four from the pen of DLM - these latter hymns kinda in the vein of Stuart Townend or Graham Kendrick, with "Father, We Dedicate" being especially moving. Other tunes come from Emmaus, David Ruis and Andrae Crouch, while the two gorgeous songs picked from the Parachute Band's ‘Amazing’ yet lack the charm of that group's original. Overall, while I'm sure it was great being at the event, there's little that makes this disc stand out from the crowd.
