This is the follow up to 1995's debut 'Beginnings' which received a 10 square review from Cross Rhythms. After a few plays this album kicks into life and is another hook-ridden album. The band's sound is focused around layers of rich harmony and nearly all the songs are driven by the acoustic guitar. This is The Rembrants/lighter side of Extreme territory. Worthy of a mention is the production team of John and Dino Elefante, who also lend a hand on the songwriting front. But the self-penned "Simply Beautiful" is a song deserving much radio play and will have you swaying in your seat and crying out for more. Overall, the lyrics don't strike immediately, but they all draw your focus towards God, particularly through the ballads "Your Breath" and "If Only". Rarely, though, does music move me to tears, but the compassion of God is so beautifully put in "I'll Cry Too" - "For every tear that you cry/I promise that I'll cry too" - that this really hit me. Why not investigate?

This cd is very good. I searched for years to find it, finally ran across it at a Nashville CD Warehouse store, and snatched it up. It was only $4.99, a great find. Anyway, in my opinion, the best tracks are 2- Maybe Tomorrow, 6- If Only, and 8-Listen. The entire cd is great, but those are the highlights. Maybe Tomorrow is a beautiful song about praying for your future spouse years before you meet them. It's the song that made me want the cd. BUY, BUY, BUY if you can find it!
