This is the fourth album from the Nashville-based singer/songwriter and with top rate accompanists including Richard Scott (Matt Maher), Daniel Ornellas (Tree63), Britt Edwards (The Swift), Shawn Williams (Martina McBride) and the wonderful Natalie LaRue offering some delicious BVs here and there this is exceptional pop rock, sometimes with a country tinge like on "Come Alive". Other standout tracks are the slow and smouldering "Grace Is Hope" while "Amazing Grace/Your Grace Is Amazing" complete with a banjo accompaniment is hoe-down praise delightfully executed. If you're looking for a deftly played and soulfully sung pop/rock/country synthesis you're going to love 'Rise'. It's a shame it's taken Cross Rhythms so long to discover this excellent crafter of songs.
