Psalm is "a prophetic singer/songwriter" living in Nottingham. This, the lady's first recorded effort, was clearly made on a budget and not all of the five tracks here come off - the largely spoken "Song Of The Shulamite" doesn't make it while the pitching on the country-tinged "Deep Blue Sea" is a little questionable. But her rendition of Steve Richardson's "Mercy Seat" is moving while the self-written title track has a haunting Messianic quality.
