The Californian pop rockers make a reasonable job of contemporizing three Christmas evergreens though there are one or two wobbles on the lead singer's vocal on "O Holy Night". Much better is "Do You Hear What I Hear" which has a tasty, if too short, effects-driven guitar solo while Jeanette Arias guests on "O Come Emmanuel". Track four on the EP is a gentle, piano-led "The Spirit Carries On" which isn't a Christmas song but is rather pretty. And getting in the festive season of giving the band have added the whole of their 'Love Is Alive' EP as bonus tracks. Apparently the band hand 'The Gift' out to souls for the holidays and as a free download for fans. Well done guys.
