What we have on offer here is a two-for-one package of CDs by the country star; his 2004 outing 'Passing Through' and 2005's 'Glory Train'. As would be expected from this seasoned songsmith the production on both these albums is top-notch. With 'Passing Through' we have Randy gravel-voicing and drawling his way through songs with observations on life and at times offering hope such as on "A Place To Hang My Hat". On 'Glory Days' Randy goes through a 19 track repertoire of "songs of faith, worship and praise" as described on the sleeve, from Sister Rosetta Tharpe's "Up Above My Head (I Hear Music In The Air)" ably assisted by the The Blind Boys Of Alabama and "This Train" to more modern songs like Tim Hugh's "Here I Am To Worship" and Matt Redman's "Heart Of Worship". Both these CDs have previously been reviewed on Cross Rhythms and as such there is not much to add to what has already been said. With over 100 minutes of solid music featuring one of the GREAT country voices for under a tenner this package is definitely a bargain. Even if you are not a fan these albums could be a good place to start to investigate a powerful talent.

Product Description
Glory Train, Randy’s fifth album, is a collection of beloved classic hymns and familiar contemporary worship songs. The all-acoustic album is superbly produced with bluegrass and country instrumentation and Travis' unmistakable baritone voice with 19 tracks and over an hour of music. Passing Through has several other likeminded hits in store as well, with the touching “Daddy Never Was” sure to elicit a powerful emotional response from listeners.
