Reality Check combine an interesting mix of rock/sub-metal industrial pop, blended together with hints of light rap, to produce some good music. However, this 'alternative' music falls into the all to familiar alternative music scene which, in my honest opinion, surely detracts from its truest definition. There is enough herein to capture and maintain interest to a point (check out "Plastic", "Mascquerade", "Apart From You" and the excellent "Speak To Me"), but at times the vocals tend to be on the weak side, and the music uncomfortably akin to pieces from DC Talk's "Jesus Freak". On the whole this debut is good, but all too familiar to stand out.
