The three teenage Taylor sisters created a bit of a buzz with their debut album and now Nika (lead vocals, guitar), Nicole (banjo, vocals) and Natalie (mandolin, fiddle, vocals) have returned with an album which mixes bluegrass and country elements in an attractive modern mix. The opening track "Christian Country Girl" was written for them by their producers Rick and Micah Schweinsberg and is a likeable declaration of the girls' faith while "Turn Around" is possibly the best of the 10 tracks here. At first hearing 'The Middle Of Nowhere' doesn't seem to contain a track that will wow radio listeners - either country or Christian - but such is the fulsome warmth generated by these young ladies the album undoubtedly has appeal and will please CD buyers who enjoy the Christian message performed country style.
