Remember Rome from Rolling Meadows, Illinois describe their style as "progressive acoustic music with lyrics that point the listener to the Good News," though I'm not sure where the "progressive" thing comes in. In fact, the solemn male voice harmonies and congas and acoustic guitar accompaniments are almost a throwback to the "rock mass" sounds of '60s/'70s Catholic music pioneers like Ray Repp. Lyrics are hearteningly all based on Bible passages but this rather quaint sounding CD, truly stuck in a musical time warp, is unlikely to register with today's music buffs - Catholic or not.
