This American singer/songwriter was a surprise visitor to the UK a year or two back. Musically, 'Break The Walls' is very good with some talented musicians contributing to the overall feel, lyrically there's some good stuff that can be very spiritually uplifting. However, the overall impression is that it is designed to appeal to the Braveheart fans in the US. The record company is Scottish Castle, there are tracks called "Scotland Ablaze", "O'Keefe's Slide" and "Taime Im' Chodloch," (definitely scores points with that name). What's wrong with that? I hear you say. Well, nothing but for the fact that the whole album was recorded, mixed and mastered in California. I don't have anything against this but for the fact that the album seems to be suffering from an identity crisis, Whatever my opinions don't let me put you off, if you like guitar based pop with a Celtic/Scottish feel then go and get this album, just don't expect anything inspiring.
