The former worship leader at KT releases his first studio album and it's a cracker! In a world of paint by numbers, bland worship albums that roll off the conveyor belt at the snap of some record exec's fingers, this stands out as a masterpiece in the genre of contemporary worship. Mixing pop hooks with R&B grooves, some fat horns and a pile of excellent songs, Richard Lewis, I salute you! The production work of one Nicky Brown makes all the difference of course, adding the sort of tasty musical licks that set this apart from other unimaginative worship albums. Aside from the quality of the music, check the power of the songs! A soulful ballad like "To The Highest Place" sweeps you up in atmospheric worship whilst the sweet sax of "We Worship You" simply sends shivers spinewards. The title cut is a funky, groovy, rhythm driven declaration of spiritual warfare and it's powerful stuff, matched by the thunderous celebration "The Lord Is Marching Out" and the equally spiritually impacting "The Weapons". Richard Lewis blends fine music with songs that leave you fired up wanting to do business with God. You couldn't really ask for more!

We have, in the years since this album’s release and to date, witnessed various glorious expressions of praise and worship music resulting from the combination of a prophetic heart fused with classical discipline and jazz savvy by the Holy Spirit. I am drawn to listen again to this seed of an album and remember times of exhuberant passion for Jesus exhibited by Richard during his time at Kensington Temple. We regarded him as a son of the house, but also as a man on a mission. Kudos on this offering, his previous KT albums and ascent through classical music and beyond.

My dad is such a wonderful Christian. I remember when my teacher put his CD on in class. I love watching my dad leading worship at City Temple along with the Worship Team and Chris Cartwright.

What's KT's loss is CT's gain!!!

I'm the technical director at City Temple Cardiff and in the few months that we've had Richard on the team leading worship, CT hasn't stopped rocking with God's praises either.
Why not visit us?
