This is the fifth in a series of albums from Fire Rain Ministries, a revival ministry based in Cedar Hill, Texas that focuses on music, prophecy and acts of love. Rick Pino is the founder of Fire Rain, and also the leading force behind this album. The album starts very ambient, reminiscent of Peter Gabriel's film work, underpinning some spoken Scripture which leads into the opening track proper, "Come Make War" performed in rock style with a hint of prog. This is a slight curveball though, as it is by far the rockiest track on the album; the rest of the set best described as congregational worship songs performed by a rock band. Rick's instrument is piano, so all of the songs are led by keys with able support from the other musicians on the album. If you can get away from the alternative backing, there are some good worship songs on here that you are encouraged to use (the Rick Pino website has downloads of all of the songs). In fact on the tracks that are just Rick and his piano, the songs take on a completely different feeling. The accompanying DVD has a quite in depth documentary of the making of the album, along with some of the songs performed live. Powerful prophetic music from an important minister of the Gospel.
