Although he has been big in the States for several years now, this is Ricky's first UK release. 10 new songs in a variety of styles plus the old Ernest Tubb hit "Thanks A Lot" which Ricky has been singing in his stage show for years and the title track which is a great Merle Haggard tune, which has amazingly remained unknown for years. A really fine album which deserves a wide hearing. Ricky has one of the finest voices I've heard in quite some time. The songs are all first class as is the production, the only disappointment is the lack of any gospel songs as such, but if you listen to the lyrics there's absolutely nothing here you wouldn't want to be associated with. Recommended, in fact it's one of the best modern country albums of the year.

I love anything that RVS sings - he is my very favorite singer of all time. He no longer gets the recognition he deserves but he has my devotion. I would love to get this album sometime. Good article
