Although this album takes an overall pop classification, some tracks are black gospel in style with one or two moving towards hip-hop. Sweden's Samuel is an experienced musician who has toured his homeland and abroad and, inspired by artists such as Stevie Wonder and Kirk Franklin, has a blue-eyed soul style not dissimilar to Jon Gibson (or, if you remember him, another blue-eyed gospeller from Sweden, Per-Eric Hallen). There are as many as 30 musicians helping create the sounds on this album with three tracks featuring the CSI Gospel Choir on background vocals. As already mentioned, styles vary greatly as demonstrated by the excitement of the brief opener "Holy City" and the reflective nature of the closing "I'm Sorry".

A smooth, melodically pleasing album with many surprises. Its complexity makes you want to rewind and listen to the same bar over and over. The harmonies are warm, the rhythms funky and the message very prominent. 5 stars!
