Sammy Mojica is the current bass player for Tony Loeffler & The Blue Angels, and much of Tony's work in the last year or so has been taking the Gospel to Cuba, not just into the prisons, but also working alongside the churches in that poverty-stricken country. The single is a taster of a full CD of Spanish language worship music from Tony and the gang, due out soon, to be called 'Me Ha Tocado El Amor' or in English, 'Touched By Love'. As you'd expect from The Angels, the three mixes here are full of Latin rhythms with Tony's trademark immaculate production, and the song itself, based on a traditional Cuban song "Chan Chan", was written by Tony and his daughter-in-law Martha. My Spanish is virtually non-existent, but I know enough to recognise that the song's all about the love and peace of God being the only hope for the people of Cuba.
