Sarah is a proud Texan who is now based in Colorado. She leads worship at Eagle Bible Church and has been involved in music ministry for many years. Her self-titled three-track EP is simple and understated but this just adds to its beauty. Only one acoustic instrument is used on each track which adds to the authenticity of Sarah Anne's clear vocal. The EP begins with the tender "Oh My Soul" played on acoustic guitar. This is a song about waiting on and trusting in the Lord. One drawback for is that this song is a little too long. "Find Me" is a love song and is an interesting choice to include on an otherwise worship-focused recording as it doesn't sit comfortably alongside the others. It is more light-hearted and played on a ukulele and Sarah Anne herself says, "I also throw in a few cheesy love songs every now and then" which describes it quite well. The final song "Etched" is the strongest on the EP and is a reflective praise number played on piano that contains a haunting beauty in its instrumentation and vocal. This EP serves as an impressive introduction to the talents of a singer I hope we will be hearing more from in the future.
