Californian singer/songwriter and worship leader Scott Cunningham has become a regular visitor to the UK through Creation Fest and this, his second album, is a fine studio recorded set of self-penned worship songs. Scott has an excellent voice, full of emotion and he uses it with real authority, while his songwriting skills are top notch. The musicians all work beautifully together to produce a superb wall of sound for Scott to sit his talents on and the whole combination is very impressive. But it's Scott's well-written songs that really steal the show, an impressive combination of carefully constructed rock tracks and attention-grabbing ballads, all with lyrics that remind us how great our God is and urge us to respond to him with our lives. The title track kicks things off with a bass line that's as compelling as its message, before the powerful "Arise" increases the tempo and energy in equal measure. Of the slower songs, the outstanding "Satisfied In You" rises highest, closely followed by the inspiring "Look To Jesus". If you've seen Scott at Creation Fest, you're probably already a fan. If not, get hold of this album and you soon will be.
