It's been over a year since Scott's debut, "Wild Imagination", established him as a bright new songwriter and fine singer. This follow up is again produced by Charlie Peacock whose amazing arrangements and sound only give Scott's voice and songs a greater impact on the ears! 10 pop songs that shine out in different ways. "Way Back Home" shuffles along with a series of snapshots of life on the road and is compelling and yet there is a deeper message which Scott explores in terms of getting closer to God. This is also expressed in the title tune and elaborated on the atmospheric "Wiser". However, it's the overall heart on the sleeve aspects of this recording that grabbed me. On "His" he puts everything into perspective when he recognises that it's the grace of God that counts. This is quickly followed by the excellent ballad "No More Pretending" where Scott becomes most vulnerable, promising not to hide behind any disguises. A poignant message for the Church at large! "You Changed The World" is a closing tribute to those who share the love of God with their friends and how that simplicity changes the world of the individual who hears the Gospel. An unusual subject for a song and yet that's where Scott's genius lies, in being able to get a new angle on common themes. Overall, this is a great album but still a few songs short of the absolute classic that Scott must surely be destined to produce.

Considering his last release was in February of '96; this recording comes only a little beyond a year to be heard: May 1997 (within the norm i.e.). "Way Back Home" is a song that hi-lites this cd; great vocals!!;co-written with the well- known Charlie Peacock. "HIS" is a well crafted song, much needed to be heard;it mentions the blood, that is seldom heard in songs today!"HIS WOUNDS HEAL US!". "No More Pretending" hits home to the heart; great song for you to record Scott! Jerry McPherson's electric sounds on "Drop Everything" are amazing! (Jerry is quite the studio musician/toured extensively with Amy Grant). "Wiser" is a top ccm song on this cd; has hit written on it!:great vocals!! "You Changed the
World" is a song for every believer;the words are so well known to the heart. GOD Bless! -Don
