Take a solo piano, some timeless gems from the Christian hymnody and play them in an expressive, not quite jazz not quite classical manner and this is what you get. If that's your cup of tea, then this is the CD for you, and no doubt you already have volume one in your collection. Kris Baines (the chap who uses the Selah recording persona) is a gifted pianist and has carefully crafted his arrangements and original work in this selection, but in the crowded Christian meditation market, which this is aimed at, it has to be said that there are many other better products available that offer a variety of sounds and styles. I would put this type of music as being in the "pleasant background noise" or muzak category. Okay if that's what you want or need.
