‘Dead End’ comes out of the gate like a rabid racehorse with machine guns, breaking glass over a classical tenor, fading as guitar feedback builds into a doom metal frenzy. The pace pretty much is set from there with grunted lyrics and 16th note kick drums, hard riffs and power chords. Personally - and that's all my opinions can be - this isn't my bag when it comes to metal. I'm more of a Dream Theater or Metallica man myself; but having said that Seventh Star does pretty much what it says on the tin. If you like Nuclear Assault and other doom metal bands you're probably going to dig this. It's tight and well produced with decent musicians.
