There's a very thin line between artists demonstrating their natural stylistic eclectism gliding from genre to genre in a dazzling display of versatility and artists showing decided jump-on-the-bandwagon optimism being prepared to sing any musical style simply because they lack a passionate enough commitment. Sheila we all know has had several musical metamorphose already. Once she was a radical new waver. Then a friend of Cliff and recorder of user-friendly pop gospel. Then a product of Middle America religiosity singing everything-but-the-kitchen-sink arranged hymns for the lucrative 'inspirational' market. Now we're told she's singing the music she always wanted to, with a Celtic tinge and on the opening track "Heaven Is Holding Us Now" even bringing in a bagpipe player for a solo. But what of the music? I think its pretty good. There are plenty of tasty guests (including Russ Taff and Michael English), Chris Eaton knows a thing or seven about a song hook and his joint compositions with Sheila Walsh are strong and "Jennifer" which sounds like a Christian radio hit to my ears is a lovely, plaintive ballad.

Sheila's message of God's Love comes straight from her heart through the music of this album. Each song is bathed in the light of heaven, as it were, and transports the listener to Heaven's Throne Room. Time spent with this music is like time spent with Jesus -- it is that warm and personal, not unlike the artist herself.
