Shenandoah's Christian witness has been there or thereabouts during their 10-year career. This meander down through their story to date has the top of the page headline on the sleeve notes "Thanks to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who made it possible for the 10 years that we have been together, and for life eternal." You may have come across their fine lead vocalist Marty Raybon on some of his solo Christian outings. These 15 songs constitute a 'Best Of collection with some newer material. Shenandoah classics such as "Mama Knows", "Church On Cumberland Road", "Two Dozen Roses" and "Sunday In The South" are as good as it gets in mellow country rock. Watch out for "Somewhere In The Vicinity Of The Heart", a duet with the stunning Alison Krauss. Excellent compilation of a fine band.
