The unexpected sleeper hit "Kiss Me" has, of course, made all their early recordings for REX hot property. Now comes this welcome compilation from these albums "The Fatherless And The Widow' {1993), 'This Beautiful Mess1 (1995) and the EP 'Tickets For A Prayer Wheel' (1996). There's plenty of great stuff, demonstrating again that Leigh Bingham has one of the most goose-pimple inducing voices in Christendom, the dance mix of "Love, Salvation, The Fear Of Death" (first released as a hidden track on 'Tickets For A Prayer Wheel', is truly arresting, though why their genuine classic praise song "Trust" isn't on this set is inexplicable. Still, for those who've just got into the indie pop delights of Sixpence, this retrospective will be much appreciated.
