This 11-song album was produced specifically for a six to 11 year old kids' holiday club called Detonate at one of England's temples of Anglican charismatic worship. Belinda Patrick, Worship Pastor at St Andrew's, Chorleywood, has put the set together, written five of the songs and sings on six of them. Production is by Sveinung Nygaard and up and coming worship leader Matt Macaulay (who contributes a rather ill-advised rap on the title track) and there's a crowd of children who help on vocal duties - but with a great deal of obvious enthusiasm (check out "Supernatural" for a lesson in how to do kids' worship). With other tracks written by the likes of Israel Houghton, Tim Hughes, Ben Cantelon and the aforementioned Mr Macaulay, this is a really great set of songs for children - contemporary music, excellently played and produced, memorable and simple (but non-patronising) lyrics ("What You Gonna Do Joseph" and "Shine" in particular showcase all that is good about the selection) and a clear message throughout. By and large, kids' worship on this side of the Atlantic is one of the real assets of the British Church and this locally produced and performed set of songs is a great advert for it.
