This is grunge/rock at its best! Fans of early Nirvana ('Bleach', 'Incesticide') will love this album; but that's limiting 'Friction's impact. Three is an awful lot that this album can give. Since receiving this album I have listened to it almost constantly. It is well written, produced and executed. I especially like Mark Saloman's vocals, which are very versatile, with a good range and great passion: he sounds a little like Seal on the first track and on others a lot like Michael Stipe (REM). There are 10 songs on this album of which one of them is an instrumental; this was a shame as it sounded more like an excellent song that needed lyrics. Track three, "At The Moment", is superb! If it hasn't been released as a single, I think it should be! Other highlights include "Threshold", "Devil", "Burning Clean", "Anna Thema" and "Stars And Clouds". Magnificent stuff! Highly recommended.
