EMI CMG have been re-releasing quite a few albums with the two-for-one offer and they have been sure not to leave Superchick out. The group with their memorable lead vocals from Tricia Brock and punchy productions from Max Hsu, which straddle pop, dance and rock rhythms with radio friendly skill, have made them a mainstay of Christian radio. This package features Superchick's first two albums: their 2001 release 'Karaoke Superstars' and their 2002 album 'Last One Picked'. Both albums contain Superchick's fast-paced upbeat sound that contain songs that pack a punch with their relevant and serious messages that really do connect with popular culture and with teenagers (especially girls) living in the real world! Some themes include: loneliness, peer pressure, the influence of the media, young love, Pokemon and acne! "High School" encourages teens to be themselves and not to give in to peer pressure, while "One Girl Revolution" challenges girls to live a radical, pure, Christian life. The song that sums up Superchick for me is "Hero" with lyrics such as "Heroes are made when you make a choice. . . you could be a hero if you do what's right" - you can't go wrong!
