Atlanta's Tasha Cobbs emerged onto the gospel scene in 2016 and has slowly but surely risen to become one of the top names in the genre and now with her impressive guesting on the latest Matt Redman album and the inclusion here of a track featuring the world's most popular female rapper Nicki Minaj, she is clearly set to make even greater inroads into the music world. This project was produced by her husband Kenneth Leonard Jr and recorded live a whole bevy of singers and musicians from a variety of cultural backgrounds to create her stated aim of making "a universal sound of worship". Opener "The Name Of Our God"' is an energetic, triumphant declaration of victory and trust in God which starts slowly but ends in an explosive, no-holds barred praise jam - the first of many. Leonard's effortless, passionate vocal is a highlight throughout; covering the range from slow and soulful to fiery screamers with ease. "Wonderful" is a soft hymn of adoration as Leonard duets with Anna Golden, "Great God" is a funky, jazzy, bluesy celebration of worship and "You Know My Name" a melodic, tender duet featuring the husky, breathy vocal of Jimi Cravity. A vibrant release overflowing with joy sure to lift the spirits.
