With a hugely impressive five octave voice and a lifetime spent travelling the Atlantic borders performing both R&B (supporting acts like Tower Of Power and the Whispers) and gospel (ditto The Five Blind Boys Of Alabama and the Mighty Clouds Of Joy), Teddie is clearly a veteran talent of sizeable proportions. As Rance Allan said to Teddie, "Your music takes me back home." And "back home" it will take you if you spent time listening to old skool soul music. So even when there's (rather perfunctory) programming like on the thudding mid tempo "Lord God" or the joyful romp "It Was You", the effect is heart-warmingly retro. The lyrics are very predictable, seldom going beyond "you died for me at Calvary" cliché and the production is a bit budget line. But such a magnificent voice as Teddie's deserves our admiration while his determination to give all the glory to God is infectious.

Teddie Morrow song, your grace and mercy has been a blessing to me.
The lyrics are the expression of my heart and what salvation is all about.
I thank Jesus for a voice that sings so
well, that is brings tears to my eyes.
May God bless you and your voice, continue to sing for the Lord.

Sincerely, Mattie
