Man! This is good! Tha Voice is lyrically uncompromising, creative, message-driven rap. Using a variety of samples and rhythms to back up the rhymes, Tha Voice isn't scared to be eclectic but always there's a strong groove, even when the electro-funk of "Ingredients", which sounds suspiciously like an old Paul Hardcastle groove, but effectively used! The title cut sets up a strong groove and a catchy singalong lalala chorus alongside a strident message. On "Delicious" he proves (hat he's a match for T Bone when he raps in English and Spanish! "Searchin"' is an interlude sampling Tha Voice giving a radio interview and so you get some idea of his testimony. Overall, this album just leaves me wanting to know more about Tha Voice and (his CD slides into my collection right next to K2S and GRITS.
